The Itaipu hydroelectric plant is considered the second largest on the planet in terms of size, only smaller than the Three Gorges Dam in China, but it is the first on the planet in terms of energy generation. Located on the Paraná River on the border between Brazil and Paraguay, it is considered one of the wonders of modern engineering. With 20 turbines, it produces 14,000 MW and is an example of sustainable energy production.
The visit to this monument is divided into two options: a panoramic visit and a special visit. The first tour takes place only in the external area, while the second tour is both external and internal.
